Overview

neteXpose is a privately-held company, located in Sophia-Antipolis, France, selling network discovery and network inventory software solutions via OEMs and System Integrators to organisations from all major industries.

Our vision is to help customers to get more value from their IP networks and IT staff in automating IT audit, network inventory, as well as hardware and software asset management processes. In automatically discovering IP network devices, end-stations, and topology, analysing and presenting the data in automatically generated reports and network drawings, neteXpose DNA (Documentation Network Application) makes network documentation not only affordable but gives network managers accurate data about their installed network hardware and software, improving network planning, troubleshooting, and IT budgeting.

By participating in national and international research and development projects, neteXpose strengthens it‘s market position and ensures it‘s customers steady product enhancements, based on advanced technology. Key development areas are network discovery and network security, supported by two projects:

  • A.C.E.S (Analyse Contextuelle d‘Evénements de Sécurité / Security Events Contextual Analysis) of R.N.R.T (Réseau National de Recherche en Telecommunication) =>rnrt.org, a project from A.N.R (Association National pour la Recherche), supported by the French Ministry of Research, focussing on information correlation from different sources in order to provide network administrators with consistent alerts about attacks. Sources include: topology (neteXpose DNA), probes, attacks signatures, and results from the Leurré.com project (consolidated worldwide honeypots) =>leurrecom.org. A.C.E.S project members are France Telecom, Supélec =>supelec.fr, Eurecom =>eurecom.fr and neteXpose.

  • FastMatch, an EU-wide R&D project addressing several key security implementation issues facing large enterprises and services providers, realized by a consortium of Universities, R&D organisations and companies, such as Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS), Definitive Impact, ETSIT UPM, France Telecom, Microtech International, Ltd., neteXpose, led by The University of Reading =>fastmatch.org.
